I always challenge myself to draw new and unique designs for my products. Recently, I was trying to design some Halloween shaker molds that I could cast out of resin. However, I didn't exactly stay on task. I completely ignored the pumpkin-themed design I was working on and started drawing the adorable cobwebs featured in these earrings. I was so excited about what I made, so I drew up a spider to match and got straight to cutting!

These earrings were made by first laser-cutting spider shapes out of clear 1/8-inch clear acrylic. Then, 3-4 coats of metallic black acrylic paint with gold reflects is added to the back of the spider shapes to give them their dark, spooky color. Next, the cob-web shapes are laser cut and engraved out of 3/16-inch orange acrylic. The details in the cobweb were added by rubbing the same metallic black paint from the spider into the engraving and wiping off any excess. This results in crisp, precise lines. Finally, we get to the hardware! The spider is connected to the web by three jump rings and a push back is glued onto the spider. All of the hardware in this earring is made from a silver-colored metal. The entire earring is 2 1/8 inches long and 1 1/8 inches wide. The spider is 3/4 inches long by 7/8 inches wide. the cobweb is 1 inch long by 1 1/8 inches wide. The drop length, which is measured from the center of the push back to the bottom of the earring, is 1 7/8 inches. This earring is listed as "spider and web" earring in variations.

There is another option for these earrings that doesn't include the spiders, which was designed for people who want a slightly less extravagant piece. This options, which is listed as "without spider", features the same acrylic cobweb attached to a small jump ring, a large, braided circle ring, and an ear wire. All of the hardware in this earring is made from a silver-colored metal and is nickel free. The entire earring measures 2 1/4 inches long and 1 1/8 inches wide. The cobweb is 1 inch long by 1 1/8 inches wide.
